Less is sometimes more

We've at least partially solved the problem of a huge mess of toys in our living room.

Last week, we told Alex that any toys that he didn't help put away in his toybox would be put downstairs in the basement for a couple of days.

Sure enough, he didn't want to help and we were able to clear away a huge garbage bag full of toys. Our intention was to replace the toys within a couple of days.

It's been a week now and Alex doesn't even miss the missing toys and we find that he's playing more with the toys that are left.

And, it feels so much better to be in our livingroom. It's easier to clean up and isn't always a disaster area.

Sometimes less is more...
